A Doula (from the Latin word for 'slave') is a trained professional who supports, nurtures, and advocates for you during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
While some refer to a birth doula as a "professional birthing partner," my role is to enhance your partner's ability to support you, not replace them. I take on the areas they might not be familiar with, like explaining medical terms, advocating for your choices, or simply creating space for privacy and calm.
Postnatally, I’m there to support your transition, whether you're at home or in hospital. Every experience is unique, so I offer tailored support, from breastfeeding assistance to practical help like cooking meals or taking out the bins, allowing you to rest.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to birth and postpartum care, which is why I offer four flexible packages:
If these options don’t quite fit your needs, I’m always open to creating a bespoke plan just for you!
I support mothers through a gentle fourth trimester, which is such an important time for recovery both mentally and physically.
You can hire me for a few hours as a one off, or block book a set amount and agree on an adaptable schedule that suits you and your specific needs.
Please get in touch to discuss how I can best help you!
